@moeman81:
Please check if there is a dvd in your drive or any virtual drives are mounted on your PC..

For emulator configuration, gwenaels page is a great ressource: http://www.gwenael.org/xbmc/index.php?title=Main_Page. If you have any questions, feel free to ask.

@malte

no, there's no disc in the drive or any virtual drives...plus i've tried every skin there is also, i'm just hoping i don't have to uninstall everything to try it again...it's odd tho that i can get to my drives in any of my movies or tv shows. has this ever happened that you've heard of?

btw, thx 4 the fast response!!!

- malte - 2011-07-12

Yes, it is a common problem. Most times it is related to discs in the drive or virtual drives. Sometimes you have to add your drives via File manager like explained here: http://forum.xbmc.org/showthread.php?tid=89915

thx alot man, that worked for me...i appreciate your fast help on this matter!

can you (or anyone) help me with setting up the games/emulators in this pluggin? or direct me to some tutorial...i've watched that video and tried it but for some reason it don't work for me...

i need to know:

emulator params (for SNES, NES, N64 & Sega Genesis) i've tried to leave it default but it don't work...

emulators i'm using is:
Sega = fusion364
SNES = snes9x
NES = Fceux 2.0.0
N64 = Project 64
(i'm not opposed to changing these if i need to)

my rom collections are:
sega = smd
snes = smc
nes = nes
n64 = z64
(are these right extentions i need?)

any help will be appreciated!!!

Hey Malte, I'm back. Still having issues. Same ones. Also, what are the buttons in the new version?

- malte - 2011-07-13

Hey kruuth, welcome back. I guess there is a solution for your problem: http://forum.xbmc.org/showthread.php?tid=99991. Please try out if it works for you. Unfortunately I was still not able to solve this problem completely, but the above is a good way to prevent this issue.

What do you mean with the buttons? If you are talking about new features in 0.9.0 you may check out this post: http://forum.xbmc.org/showpost.php?p=824085&postcount=1362

hey there,

great Add-On, works fine on my ArchLinux machine, except for one little bug, or rather missing error checking:

I have a share mounted on my HTPC via SSHFS that contains all my Videos and Roms. Adding a ROM collection worked fine, but the games simply didn't appear in the list. Everytime I opened RCB, the log said:
Code:
RCB_WARNING: ListSize == 0 in showGameInfo
Took me a while to figure out that this is because my share was mounted read-only. Obviously my mistake, but imho RCB should have shown some kind of error message while adding the roms.

I'm using RCB 0.9 on the latest XBMC git btw.

anyway, keep up the good work Smile

Strange. RCB should not write anything to your rom folders. It will only try to write .nfo files during game import, but they are only used as a backup if you have to rescrape your game infos.

But I will try to reproduce this behaviour and check how to fix it. Thanks for reporting!

I also should have added that my artwork folders are on the read-only share as well...

- malte - 2011-07-14

Ah, ok. Then you had to rescrape all games to get them imported?

I should have thought of it as I am exactly working on this issue atm. So this will be fixed with the next version.

malte Wrote:@djvj: What system are you using (PC, Xbox, OS, XBMC version)? There are known issues with video playback in Dharma (XBMC may hang while trying to start video files). Everything works fine for me in Eden.

On Xbox playback of video files really slows down the browsing speed. I switched back to screenshot in my personal setup on Xbox.

xbmclive (xbmc build was around april 2011 last I remember) on an ION1 mobo and an SSD.

- malte - 2011-07-15

I would guess this is still Dharma then. Not sure how to determine the version. In Eden the Confluence skin has a horizontal home menu by default and addon browser has a new category "Services". And also the number of addons is much smaller in the Eden repository.

Hardware should be ok. I am using an ION1 myself and had no problems with video playback so far. So maybe you should go back to screenshots and try the video part again when you update to a new XBMC version.

Does anybody here is using an ION (Acer Revo 3610) with MadVR and MPC-HC as external player?, I have to use XBMC in 720p çause if i use it in 1080p my htpc stutters a lot in playing a 720p file upscale to 1080, when i use the xbmc normal internal player it plays 1080p files just fine but not with the same quality as madvr,, any thoughts? I know this isnt the right forum to ask that but maybe someone can help me a lil'..Thanks!
