pcvii Wrote:Well out of all the movies i have those 2 are the only ones I seem to notice problems with.

I'm not sure why the renaming everything would throw a scraping error since It's not scraping it's renaming.

I was thinking collection might be part of it because both of those movies were detected as a collection and both of those folders only have one movie file. there was a sample file but I deleted it.

I'll check what is going on with rename.

Grab latest update for fix of the rename problem (http://www.plyoung.com/projects/xmm2/).
The app was trying to rename folders that where listed in the ignore list, like extrafanart and clearart. That is what happens when you add unplanned for features Wink

Does XMM rely at IMDB at all? Reason for my question is that I am living in China, where IMDB remains blocked. Also, how do you guys download trailers given it is currently unsupported in XMM2?

Thanks!

http://www.themoviedb.org/ is used for movies
and http://thetvdb.com/ for TV eps

No trailers support.

For some reason the new version isn't showing fan-art in the bottom. It has the text saying the their is a file assigned but no image. And when I scrape it doesn't show an image in there. I seem to remember it showing something.

Hmm. After a while some fanart started loading. maybe the tv db is lagging or something.

- xyber - 2011-03-28

Strange, just tested a scrape of movies and tvshows and it shows the fanarts.
What is the url/filename used for the line of text?
Wha happens when you click on the "change fanart" button? See any images there?

- pcvii - 2011-03-29

hmm didn't check in there. oh when i click the button it says error Could not load the selected image from cache.

the button next to fanart. the one one the left not the right.

Not sure what is going on here cause if yoiu click on those URLs it gives a 403 error message rather than the image, so the app could not have downloaded the image either.

Check for example when you visit these that works...

So it seems the TVDB returned links that can't be used.
Does other TV shows work or is everything broken?

I really hope xMM3 comes out on Linux.

Is'nt there another way to manage your Movie Sets?
I really don't want to change my folder structure.

Sadly this can't be changed for xmm2 as it would take too much time to make the changes and most likely introduce a bunsh of bugs that would have to be taken care of.

What about in xMM3? Smile

Well, that will support the same kind of structures that xbmc does, but don't get your hopes up on an xmm3 anytime soon. i am way too bussy with projects for my startup and get very little time to work on v3.

It doesn't effect everything. most of the shows work fine.

Maybe it imported old urls that aren't there anymore from old .nfo files or something.

Though even in the scraper it isn't showing any images in there. For the effected shows at least. I seem to remember images in the scrapper selection screen

It was doing it for a few movies and tv shows

I just deleted the cache folder and then it started loading the same image over and over and over Tongue in the list.

So i'm deleteing and reinstalling.

- pcvii - 2011-03-30

Seems to be fixed after starting over from scratch. something must of been corrupt.

One thing I'd like is a reload function that ignores folders that are already in the database. Just for adding new folders. or having it look for new episodes for tv shows but not needing to re add everything.

And when I reload and tell it to scrape everything it overrides all previously assigned fanart with the defaults.

Mostly I got alot of stuff and every time I hit reload to add something new it takes a while to reenter all the stuff thats already there.

*edit:
Oh I remembered there was a locked checkmark maybe thats how you keep it from messing with movies. Tongue

You can't do that. You broke the cache system cause there is also a datafile that links URLs with the local copy of images in that cache folder. So now xmm thinks it downloaded the image from whatever url cause it found it in that cache datafile while the local copy of the image is actually missing.

If you need to clear the cache you should rather use the menu option Data->Clear Cache. It was writter at the beginning as a way for me to quickly clear out the cache while testing but seems to stil lwork. It wil lclear both the data file and the folder.
