Yeah, mine just updated to 10-8, it said.

XBMC PRE-11.0 Git:20110619-9f49fd3 (Compiled: Jun 19 2011)

Scanning for library items is still completely b0rked, tho. "Could now download information. Unable to connect to remove server" when scanning for TV shows and movies. :-(

Literally dozens of times. It eventually finds new episodes on my SMB share, but only if I keep telling it to scan about 50 times ...

See woohooseb's addon repo fix a few posts down and see if that fixes your issues.

Also go test AudioEngine. RIGHT. NOW.

I don't know what:

"- most of add-ons are firstable shouting they are inactive, which can be quickly be fixed if you go to Setup --> addons --> install add-ons and contextual-menu-click on the repositories and chose the refresh option"

means. Does this mean go to "SYSTEM" (where is "setup"?).

In System, Setting, Add-ons, Enabled Addon's, TV Information, I "The TVDB" and it is enabled. Selecting it only gives me a "Configure" option, no refresh.

I see the same for "The MovieDB".

So how can I refresh?

I will see if I can do this later tonight.

If you got to the actual repository and hold down menu then you can force that to refresh / update not the individual add on.

Worked for me other than the moviedb *grrr*

Hi guys

Firstly thanks for the nightly builds, been great for playing my films!

Secondly just updated to the latest nightly build and now any m2ts files I have now don't run. I get the box playback failed... I'll post the log later. However all my MKV 1080p files run just fine no probs at all.

Finally just tried the AE update, works fine here (I'll post more info in the AE thread)

Edited to add I use SMB from whs2011

Works for all yep, but not for Themoviedb ;(

Not working for me; I still get "Could not connect to remote server" when it says "scannign for TV shows"; not just movies.

Can someone give me an exact, step for step process, for doing this "refresh"? I can not find any screen that says "refresh" on any of the addon scrapers (TVDB or MovieDB).

I'm a newb at this, so I need an explicit list of steps. Thanks.

SYSTEM -> SETTINGS -> ADD-ONS -> GET Add-ons -> Move cursor to 'XBMC.org Add-ons' and long-hold 'MENU' on the remote -> Force refresh
(I also tried 'check for updates'... Both of these aren't working for me either)

Excellent; thanks so much. I will make a note of that.

Unfortunately, it didn't help (much); still can't connect when it says checking for new content for movies, and still says it when "Downloading TV show information; scanning for new content". So both are b0rked for me :-(

Favorites missing? - ajerazzor - 2011-06-21

Is it me or are the favorites missing from the horizontal confluence screen in the build?

Divx files don't play with the atv2 20110618-eedceeb
Getting weirder Confused
Does anybody have that too ?

woohooseb Wrote:Hi guys (first post here woohoo !)
So far in what i tested, with latest (20110618 atv2) xbmc release, with Confluence (horizontal view) here are the few bugs i noticed :

- themoviedb.org addon doesn't work : symptom is you get a "unable to connect, do you still want to go on scanning" pop up window. If you select the NO answer, then the scanning stops and your db isn't up-to-date anymore. If you keep on scanning you can maybe scan a few more folders, and then get the error message again. Odd No

Hi,

had the same problem with nightly for MACOSX ... looks like moviedb scraper uses youtube plugin ... after installing the youtube plugin everything worked fine again.

Maybe it's the same on ATV2?

Greetings,
Tilo

No, I have the YouTube plugin installed, and I still have the scraper errors. And I have an ATV2.

It appears that the scrappers are reporting the "Cannot Connect" message when it can't find a match. I knew what was new in my library, so when I corrected my file names, everything worked correctly.

There's a ticket to track this - sorry I can't find the link to it atm.

Edit: Found it:
