Question about vu+ Dev
#1
Hello everyone,

First, hats off to the XBMC project as a whole and all the add-ons. I wanted to ask about a possible future development on other platforms. I have a media player (Intel Nuc) that works perfectly. However, even with the various great PVR add-ons, I would like to know if a release will come for Enigma2 (VU + Solo2)?

When I see the power of my new VU + Solo2, I wish I could do anything with him and even eliminate hardware consuming a HDMI port and some electricity :-)

Thank you in advance and once again congratulations and sorry for my stupid English :-)

PS: Sorry if another post exist. I try to find it but with my poor English, i don't know what exactly search.

I had moved this to PVR help and support, but I believe you mean to ask if XBMC will be released to be installed on Enigma2.

It might seem possible, but it is unlikely that someone here will start developing for it.
See http://forum.xbmc.org/showthread.php?tid=161277

It would be more logical that one or more of the existing Enigma2 programmers would try to do this, since I doubt any programmers on these forums have the hardware.

Hi, there is a new satellite stb with xbmc out at the end of this month called PrismCube (http://www.prismcube.com). It is made by Marusys, the parent company of vu+ and it looks like a very exciting product.

There is also another project called e2bmc (http://www.e2bmc.com) which is enigma2 + xbmc but not much is known about this project yet.
