Hey man,

Can you tell me how you reach this point in placeing all the media in tvshows shorcut on the main screen? I get stuck in putting the media on movies, music and tv shows and i don't know hot to add them.

First of all I'd like to congratulate MarcosQui for the awesome skin and all people helping out to make it what it is.

I have run into a bit of an issue and I have just spent the last hour searching the internet for a solution and also the issue list without much results.

I have just upgraded my XBMC from Dharma to Eden and I also upgraded MQ 2 to MQ 3.

Everything seems fine except the TV Shows section is showing all my posters squished (Like banner sized) and I have tried everything I can think of to fix it.

Here's a screenshot of the issue

I have tried checking the tvdb addon to prefer posters (Like the tv shows folder is set to), I have tried redownloading the thumb, I have tried removing the series from the library and updating the library again but none of those things helped. This is happening on the list view on tv shows only. The movies section , which is using the exact same view, is working fine.

Does anybody have any ideas how to fix this?

Hello,

This very easy. go to settings, skin options, art, set use poster for tv series, done

I seem to just be getting the default black screen with the white wavey lines in the full screen music player. I also usually have the multiple images from the main menu music background folder on screen when default background and screensaver set to none. I have checked through the guisettings.xml but cannot seem to find a helpfull entry to modify.

Black screen with white wavey lines sounds like an instance of Milkdrop running without any installed presets. Even without screensaver enabled, once you go FULLSCREEN, Aeon MQ3 will invoke the currently selected visualizer as the background, and for Milkdrop (without any installed presets) it's a screen like you describe. You won't get any fanart in fullscreen AFAIK unless you disable all visualizers.

All the visualizers work fine I have tested them. The problem occurs when I select NONE for my visualizer. I usually use this setting on the Windows7 installations around the house. It then it quite happily displays all the jpg's from a specified folder in the background which is set as the multiple images screen in the MAIN MENU for MUSIC. However it displays the default.jpg image from the AEON MQ3 folder intead. I'm not sure however if this is a XBMCUbuntu issue for MQ3 or my missing an option in the Skin settings.

Sounds like a skin issue to me, have you tried the same with Confluence, or another skin? I keep several skins installed, even though I don't use them, just for this kind of thing
.

I have just tried confluence, interestingly although it lets me browse to my network folder for the multiple images for the background but will not display them (exit from the setup menu and go back in it then dispalys a message folder does not exist). I then copied them to a local folder and it then displays them on the MAIN MENU but it is still blank in FULLSCREEN mode. I then tried the AEON MQ3 on the local folder but still the same default.jgp for AEON MQ3 was displayed. I'll put the new EDEN 11 on one of the Windows 7 media PC's in the house and see if the issue is replicated. This might show us if it is a EDEN 11 or skin issue.

I have just tried EDEN 11 on a Windows 7 machine and pasted back my USERDATA folder and all works fine. The background images all view fine during music playbeck in FULLSCREEN mode.This leeds me to believe this might be a issue with the XBMCUbuntu installation. Out of interest I also replaced the user data file on the XBMCUbuntu with the Windows 7 EDEN 11 one and still just the default.jpeg image is displayed on all backgrounds within MUSIC, TV SHOWS and MOVIES the background images are only Visable in the MAIN MENU.

Any Thoughts?

I have this problem aswell. No backdrops in TV Series section and no backdrops when playing music. They worked fine just some weeks ago. An MQ3 update broke them. Running Eden on Windows 7. Marcos, any ideas?

Hi Wanilton

Thanks for the reply but unfortunately that does not seem to work. That option seems to expect me to have a folder.jpg in each of my tv shows folder and because I don't have them (and don't want to either) it shows no picture at all in the tv show section. Sad

I'd like to use the internal xbmc downloaded poster just like it was with Aeon MQ 2 (and like it is currently working for Movies) but I have not been able to do so.

Any other suggestions? Could this be a bug in MQ3?

Other suggestion: Use program addon: artwork downloader, this solve this trouble for you too, I think..
look here for info about this addon:

or Wait for MarcosQui.

That is what I tried.

The artwork downloader is required to use the poster.jpg toggle and it will download a poster.jpg into each of my series folders which I am trying to avoid.

I guess I will have to wait for Marcos Sad

Thanks for the help though.

Hi Parker_Payne,

(2012-01-02 21:22)Parker_Payne Wrote:  No, didn't work here. Neither 'movie.nfo' nor 'movie name.nfo' leads MQ3 1.2.0 showing up the Germany ratings.

Again, I have nothing changed within my .nfo files (or with Ember that generats these files). German ratings worked before MQ3 1.1.3.

Additional Info: Ember writes this string into the .nfo file: <mpaa>Germany:16</mpaa>.

What's with the other (German) guys? Are the German ratings working on your side?

I can confirm this. With 1.2.0 Marcos has removed my changes for the german mpaa flags. That's the reason why they aren't displayed anymore.
The german mpaa flags will only be displayed if there is something like "FSK0" in the.nfo File and/or in the database.

@Marcos: Can you tell me why you have removed my changes from the code? Can you please reintegrate my changes for the german mpaa flags into the code?

bye

@Alethenorio: Check your scaper settings. If it's set to "prefer posters" you may find that setting any banner modes in the skin may cause this. I've had similar issues myself, although not in the screen you posted a screenshot of admittedly. I think the skin will use the same art file for both banner and poster modes, but whether prefer posters is set in your scraper dictats which type is downloaded when art is downloaded. If you DO have banners already, then disregard this post.

I'm getting occasional black screens in Movies / TV series, but not constant black screens. Plan to enable extended debug logging in XBMC and see if I can find an error message that looks like it's causing this, but haven't had time yet.

In response to my previous post, I enabled debug logging in XBMC and see the following lines in the XBMC:

Code:
03:52:17 T:6448   DEBUG: Re-caching image 'special://userdata/addon_data/script.artworkorganizer/MovieFanart/Bad Boys (1995).tbn' as '5/539d19f6.tbn' full size
03:52:17 T:6448    INFO: Caching image from: special://userdata/addon_data/script.artworkorganizer/MovieFanart/Bad Boys (1995).tbn to special://masterprofile/Thumbnails/5/539d19f6.tbn
03:52:17 T:6448   ERROR: XFILE::CFile::Delete - Error deleting file C:\Users\USER\AppData\Roaming\XBMC\userdata\Thumbnails\5\539d19f6.tbn
03:52:17 T:6448   ERROR: XFILE::CFile::Delete - Error deleting file special://masterprofile/Thumbnails/5/539d19f6.tbn
03:52:17 T:6840   DEBUG:   msg: PICTURE::LoadImage: Unable to open image: special://masterprofile/Thumbnails/5/539d19f6.tbn Error: (0)
03:52:17 T:6840   ERROR: Texture manager unable to load file: special://masterprofile/Thumbnails/5/539d19f6.tbn

The source file (created by artwork organizer) exists, and is not corrupt. Checked this by renaming the file to jpg and previewing it. The "cached" version is also present and ok, as I renamed that one to *.jpg and previewed it as well. But in as far as the main menu is concerned it comes up with black screens for all fanart that cause this error message to appear. Therefore I think this is either a problem with XBMC or the skin. Artwork organizer is doing it's job as intended, so that rules it out as being the problem. What I don't get is why the system is attempting to delete (and failing) the image before it's even been displayed, unless it's attempting to delete the existing version before replacing it with the one from the artwork organizer folder. If that's the case I would of thought it would be simpler to just directly overwrite the existing file.

I also don't understand why the texture manager reports it's unable to load the file when it's present and not corrupt, unless the above has something to do with that too.
