hi guys
i've built a htpc with A6-3500 and MI-008 case like couple months ago.
i am very happy with what i got right now.. only problem i have with it is that I'm using the stock cpu cooler right now, but it has gotten kinda loud. I set it to the lowest speed and it still is kind of loud.
so, i was thinking of getting a new cpu cooler, and i was looking at 'SCBSK-2100' (BIG Shuriken 2)
i'm wondering though... is that thing gonna fit in Apex MI-008 case? I am not using any optical drive, i just put in a 3.5" hdd in 5.25 bay and also i'm using picopsu, so i have some room right above the cpu, but I dont know how wide this cooler is..
so.. does anyone know if Shuriken 2 fits in MI-008 case with no optical drive / no stock psu?

no, 58mm high SCBSK-2100 wont fit.
max cooler height for APEX MI-008 is 40mm... only way to fit the SCBSK-2100 is if u use a picoPSU instead of the stock one... and if not, then, only the SCYTHE KOZUTI will do... |

Let talking numbers-
Big Shuriken 2 Rev. B dimension 125 x 135 x 58 mm You can open MI-008 case cover, and start measure it. If you have enough room for 58mm (height) by 135mm wide (all the way around), you should have enough room for Rev. B...... >Alienware X51- do it all HTPC >Simplify XBMC configurations >HOW-TO Bitstreaming using XBMC I refused to watch movie without bitstreaming HD audio! |

You can get a picoPSU mounting plate for the Apex MI-008 that'll fill in the space in the case left by the SFX power supply and give you a place to mount the picoPSU jack.
