I'd be interested in creating cases for this (and any other MQ skin) if it goes ahead.

Some nice case designs here. Instead of replacing the textures.xbt file with the new one, rename the new one (I.e. Simplecase.xbt or highqualitycase.xbt) and place alongside the original textures.xbt in aeonmq5's media folder. You can then go to "Appearance" under "Settings" (where you change skins) and change the "Theme" setting from "Default" to whatever you called your new xbt file. After a slight pause you'll find your new cases loaded. This allows you to have several case designs (simply add another xbt) and keeps the original xbt in place aswell.

Could you pack them in a xbt file? Like your style Wink

Sure. Once I work out how to do it and have some time.

If someone else can do it in the meantime though, by all means feel free.

I only ask that you credit my artwork if you share Smile

No probs. I'll try and get it done tonight.

Does anyone know what size they need to be?

@schumi2004

I'm just trying to sort the png's out now for you.

Looking at my design though, were are probably going to have to use 3 layers:

Bottom: Colored Header
Middle: Media Flag
Top: Case

Is that going to work, as I think Marcos on uses 2?

I can upload extracted package but I can't do it now. What i saw was a case and media flag. Not sure what you mean with colored header?

Samurai, if I remember correctly from when i had a mess around in the texture.xbt, MQ5's cases are made up of just two .PNG files-the case and the media flag. You'll need a .PNG of a case in every colour option and a .PNG of each media flag.

I make new box with original image position.Fill color layer with any box color then "save for web" to replace all original box.

Thanks for the info guys.

My design uses 3 layers which gives the illusion of the top coloured bar and media flag as being sat further back than the front cover.

It might look a bit weird with the media flag on top of the case.

I’ll have a play around with it and see what I can do.
