Can anyone help me?

thats not exactly the chip... such chips will be supported with kernel 2.6.40 or in new OpenELEC devel builds (until RC6 will be released).

no i dont have such remote.

there are different nuvoton chips, and only for a few there is driver support in ubuntu kernels. other chips will be supported with kernel 2.6.40. OpenELEC uses 2.6.39 with patches to support this chips.

you can solve your problem:
- compile your own patched kernel
- submit a ticket to the ubuntu devs to include this patches
- wait until the next ubuntu version will be released
- use a OpenELEC devel build (or RC6) if its released
- buy a different receiver/remote until ubuntu supports this
