XBMC nightly - crashes immediately
#1
I am currently on the latest stable release of xbmc. yesterday i tried to update to a nightly for a certain functionality that started showing up in the may releases, and i first tried june 2, then june 1, then a couple releases from May, and in ALL of them, without fail, i click xbmc, and it immediately crashes giving me an error log. no startup screen nothing. click xbmc immediately crash log.

I reverted back to my stable xbmc, and its working fine again. not sure whats going on, i used to once in a while download nightlies till about 3-4 months ago and never say this problem. Anybody have any idea what might be going on?

I don't see that version here -> http://mirrors.xbmc.org/nightlies/osx

that git version syncs to;

Quote:commit e8b12e530c7bbf21596664384426ed356ae8dd6d
Author: Martin van Beurden <chadoe@xbmc.org>
Date: Wed Jun 1 23:22:48 2011 +0200

and does not match any of the buildbot builds on the xbmc mirrors. Where did you get it ?

Yes, their packaging is borked again Smile You need to ask for support there. We have no control over what they package and post.

Just to get back on the topic, that sshcs site is where I initially downloaded the builds not working as well. I didn't know if there we're official or unofficla builds, or that taking the same code and compiling can somehow be compiled incorrectly which is why that is why I've always downloaded from there which was the first google result.

I downloaded the offcial xbmc builds and as of right now xbmc working smoothly on both recent builds I tried.
