I am new to XBMC and I noticed that there are already addons for different contries tv channels. It will be wonderful if somebody can create a repository addon for romanian TV channels which can be found at http://www.cool-itv.net/ . On that site there is a plug-in that has to be download in order that TV channels to work, therefore a plug-in addon may be required too. Is that possible ?

I didn't find a plugin but I have a work around this.
You will need an extra PC\Laptop to be able to do this.
On the extra PC\Laptop go to ***REMOVED*** .and pick your channel.

Now, on your XBMC (PC\ATV1 or ATV2) crate a file (text) on your XBMC or use it from a shared drive and name it ex: Mysopcast.m3u
Open the file with notepad and put this line inside:
http://YourPcName:8902
and save it.
"YourPcName" will be the name or IP of the PC that runs cool-itv already.
Go to your XBMC and open this file.

That's it.
It works fine on XBMC on my PC, Apple TV 1 and Applet TV 2.

Sorry but I wasn't around for while.

So, create a text file on your PC any file name because will change it later.
Paste this in your text file.


http://YourPcName:8902


Now, YourPcName has to be your name of the computer that is running cool-itv.net.
If you want to make sure it will work put the IP address of your PC instead of the name of PC.

Now rename the file something like this:
MySopcast.strm

As you saw I change the TXT file extension with strm (stream file for XBMC)


Copy this file to your XBMC (ATV or XBOX or...what ever,
Start the channel on your PC and wait till will get to about 80% min,
Go to our XBMC and open the file we just created.

That's it, you can watch it on your TV now.

I've got all romanian channels on my Raspberry Pi by using spicetv.ro subscription and livestreams addon. No need for another computer or playlist.

I found a way to watch most romanian channels for free using this addon and some custom m3u lists which they wont let me post here. Just google for romanian m3u or PM me.

Where exactly do i have to copy the file in XBMC? Can you be more explicit aboust second part of instalation after creating the file .strm?

The file is m3u can contain multiple streams. Strm file is only for ONE stream only. And it can be placed anywhere you like ..even on a network share..you just need to point the addon to it.

P2PStream addon este cel mai bun.
Vine deja cu peste 40 de canale romanesti (sopcast) si merge foarte bine.
Se poate combina cu TV Guide plugin sa ai si guide.
