I just bought two atv2 they have the latest ios
i installed nito then xbmc so i guess it is the latest version as well
i am using my pc screen to program it once done i bring it in the living room to use and all i get is the apple logo and then black screen
Tried the second box and this one works any idea what is the problem

Best thing to do, start from scratch and restore then jailbreak the one that's not working. More info here:

I figured out what is the problem just don't know how to fix it
Basically one of my atv2 wont boot if its not on the same wifi network i set it up on so as long as i plug it in my house it works on any tv but if i cut the wifi signal in my house the box wont start i get the apple logo then nothing

It is ATV2 jailbroken with Seasonpass ios 4.2.2
Build xbmc pre-11.0 git:20110623-62171b3
i installed nito ssh then pkg xbmc

I'd ssh into it and make sure it has all the latest packages:
"apt-get update && apt-get upgrade" and maybe even "apt-get -f install"

Then I'd look through all the settings in the Apple TV menu for something relevant. Maybe it's hanging on startup because of something like setting the location to automatic... or something else dependent on the network being active. Maybe if you wait long enough it'll timeout and boot... maybe something is set differently between the two devices.

If you can't find anything in there I'd restore atv2 in iTunes and try to JB again.
