what do you mean by "doesn't seem to be working"? Can you see the movies but can't play them? Also, enable debugging and post a link to your xbmc.log file (see http://forum.xbmc.org/showthread.php?tid=92480 for how to post a log file/where to find it)

i add my movie folder to one of the atv2, do i then have to add the same folder to my 2nd one or should it do it itself i thought once i did it on one it should mirror onto my 2nd atv

Here's what I would do. On one ATV first do this:
http://forum.xbmc.org/showpost.php?p=837103&postcount=2

then proceed to add your sources/movies and let it scape/scan all the info in. Once it's all nice and neat I would just go and copy the entire XBMC settings folder from
var/mobile/Library/Preferences/
using Filezilla or Cyberduck and copy that XBMC folder to the second ATV2 in the same location.

Certain settings do need to be set the same on both, but actually adding individual movie files to the library only need to happen on one for it to show up on both.

According to your log it's not finding advancedsettings.xml. Are you sure you created this file and put the ip address/etc for the mysql server, and placed it in:

var/mobile/Library/Preferences/XBMC/userdata/ ?

Looks fine. I do know that XBMC doesn't like it when it can't connect to the mysql server when it is told to look for it, so maybe it's the mysql installation on the whs machine. Unfortunately I don't know too much about that myself (I've only done it a few times, and just following guides like the lifehacker one). Someone else will have to chime in about that if it is the cause.

As others have stated - you need to post a log.

Is the file permissions for advancedsettings.xml correct?
