Sad
well its happened again yall remember back where i opened a pretty pissed off thread about the wallview not working in aeon mq2 well this time for nr3

its abit different wallview etc works BUT!!! ...what would the world be if it all worked out of the box ey? -.-'

anyhow after marcos´s hard and most appreciated work he has done with this killer release of his , theres one problem

when i go into non library mode to view my videos and i hover over a video it wont show the filename at the bottom of the screen as it usually has done with my fixed mq2 theme in the past and others

so i hope you can help a bro out once more , lets do this!

a couple screenshots to show you what i mean

movies aka library:

To much porn maybe? Have you tested to reinstall it and see if the problem remains?

It has happened to me once before (not mq3/eden). But it seems like it limited your installation has I haven't been able to replicate the problem on any of my machines. Although, I don't have Anime...nor porn

Image

1. Try removing any trace of Xbmc and MQ3 skin. Even after uninstalling, data is still left over make sure to check
Code:
C:\Users\[Your Name]\AppData\Roaming\
and delete the XBMC folder, and make sure XBMC is not left over in Program Files.

2. Download and install the latest XBMC Nightly and add Marco's Repo back in.
3. Download additional Scrappers for your anime videos.
4. It would be easier to keep all your anime videos in a separate folder and add it as its own source. And make it scans all the way through.

A completely fresh install will do the trick. Whenever I had a problem going to a nightly, a completely fresh install fixed any problem I had. There isn't really much more anyone else can do. Every View in both Library View and Movie/Tv menus works correctly on many different systems I had. And it seems not many other people are having this problem. So its not a skin or 08162011 nightly issue

well thanks for the suggestions but! ....i already did a complete clean install uninstalled and removed any trace of xbmc including my xbmc folder in roaming

so anybody else?

remember this is in non library mode aka videos not movies , movies works as should

p.s: xahlen youre funny bro, you can never have enough porn

anyhow theyre only cartoons xD

I'll take a guess that its because they are not scanned to a video library and the skin uses "ListItem.Title" and not "ListItem.Label" because a video only ever has a "Title" once it has meta data

But that's a pure guess I haven't (and wont) look into it but it might help marcos

P.S people might be more willing to help you if you didn't always appear impatient and complaining

well i put the animes all into theyre own folder and

what i did was rescan them as tv show before i scanned them as movies , that did the trick now i can finally see the bottom file names , wohooo

oh and got a new problem now when i go into tv show and i click a anime it shows me a instruction but i cant quite make it out:

library empty! add content by selecting videos in .....

anybody have a clue?

When you add a source, you have to select what it is - movies, tv shows, music... So, if you added your anime source as "movies", then it will appear there. To have them in "tv shows", you must setup the source accordingly.

Which i have suggested 2 times, once being in this own thread Big Grin

your animes are not tv shows, so don't expect them to properly show up in the tv show library.

as Jezz_X already mentioned, it's most likely skin issue.
so there's nothing you can do to fix it.
Do not PM or e-mail Team-Kodi members directly asking for support.

Of course it has bugs, it's BETA, which means it's incomplete, not finished, far from done, things still left to do, etc etc. You knew this going in there will be problems. And with beta software, you note the problem (which you have several times now), the dev notes it down and prioritizes it on his todo list. Which by the looks of things in the MQ3 thread is a growing list.

So, now that you've let everyone know that file names don't show (which could have been handled in one post), you can either report more issues as you find them, or move on to a skin that isn't in beta.

Your options at this point.
1) Live with it till MarcosQui gets around to fixing it. No telling when that will be. (This requires patience)
2)Use another skin
3) Go back to Dharma which is stable.
