i have been reading posts all morning and i am not sure where to begin.

if someone could point me in the right direction that would be great

1. i have installed xbmc live 2.6.32-29-generic build as stand alone on my first attempt at an htpc

celeron dual core 2.6
ZOTAC GeForce® 9300-ITX-WiFi
4gb ram
16 gb ssd

install went smoothly and can get video over hdmi but no sound

just wanting sound direct from tv.
do i need to update drivers

please any pointers would be appreciated

check systemsettings and audio output, if its a dts movie some tv,s dont have dts encoder, try run a ac3 movie or music...
