you can add "rec" by yourself in the xboxmediacenter.xml under <videoextensions>

I tested yesterday (7.10.2007) .rec file with the most recent build of XBMC and the system did not regonize the file.

Has there been any development to this? Rolleyes

I renamed the .REC file into .mpg for instance and I worked ok!
Specs says Mpeg1-2 with 720x576 with Mpeg L2 audio @224kbit/sec with 48Khz stereo. CPU utilization is about 35 - 40%.

There are no Subtitles available. This is something that Demuxer & VobSub should deal as new feature.

This means that system can show TopField files ok, It just has to regognize the .rec extensions. REC files are same as .TS files with just a hint of TopField ****.
