[ATV2] No episode Info
#1
Hello All

I am sure I am missing a step somewhere, but when I have been trying to add TV shows, I am not getting any episode summary or the correct episode names.

I have the TvDB and have also added Movieplayer.it TV as the scrapers and I have followed the naming convention of
NAS\TV\show\season\episode number. It is recognizing the show and giving me the correct details for the show and the correct thumbnails for the seasons just not the individual episodes. It even won't come up when I click on the individual episode and select refresh episode information.

Any Ideas as to what I may be doing wrong?

Its got to be something I'm missing with the ATV2 because it is working fine on my MB.

OK specifics

Platform ATV2
Version of ATV Apple TV software 4.4.4)
XBMC Build version and date compiled XBMC 11.0 Beta 1 Git:20111222-22ad9e4 (Compiled Dec 24 2011)
Install Method apt-get

well then you are confused, as in your first thread you say you use "naming convention of
NAS\TV\show\season\episode"" which is NOT what it says in the wiki.

in short use

season 1\s01e01.mkv

not
season 1\e01.mkv

also make sure that the info you want is acutally in thetdb.com site (sometime people haven't put it in yet, but you can do it yourself too and help out the rest of the people)

The issue is not with the naming structure or with the data not being present at the TVDB because as I stated in my original post, The scraper is working correctly with the XBMC running on my MB and searching the same NAS.

Im not trying to come off as rude this is just frustrating the hell out of me and I can't figure out why it is doing it.

How can I get that out of the ATV2.

I can get in using cyberduck but it says I don't have rights to download it from the atv2. Im logged in using the mobile/alpine combo. I tried to pull all three logs and that is what I get.

Are you sharing from the MB?
smb from Lion does not work.

No its SMB from a 3tb WD via usb to my airport extreme but the sharing hasn't made a difference that i can tell. I have shared it via FTP and AFP from the MB and it hasn't changed the outcome any.

The MB comment in my OP was because I have XBMC on it and was using it before I got the ATV2 and all of the TV shows and individual episode information came up fine on it with the existing file structure so I pretty sure that it is not the architecture that is the problem. I think that there must be something I am missing with the ATV2s settings since it is quirky with the scrappers.

I have upgraded to beta2 and this is still an issue. Any ideas on fixes?

Nope. I would try in order or effort
  1. Remove all addins that you have added
  2. Nuking the database and rescraping
  3. Removing your sources.xml and nuking the database and rescraping
  4. Delete the xbmc dir and reinstall
  5. Rejailbreak
