Hi i finally signed up after searching and could not find a concrete answer. My problem is I need to be able to run XBMC thru ad-hoc because my MBP and ATV2 with be in a car so I wont have a wireless router in the equation. I know this is a more of a XBMC thread but I was wondering has anyone ever used a setup like this before? When I make an ad-hoc network on my MBP, ATV2 can not see it

It should. How are you creating the network on the MBP? I've set something up like this for my sister before, since she doesn't have a wifi router for her Wii, so I just use her iMac.

I’m just making a ad hoc network on my MBP and using internet sharing options, but I'm not able to find the ad hoc network i made on my apple tv? everything worked fine till i upgraded to lion
