Under the previous version of XBMC selecting 'Files' under the 'Videos' menu brought up a list of the file sources I had specified.
Under the latest version though it just takes me into the TV Shows list or what ever I was last viewing. I then have to jump up several layers to get to the files that I want. Why is this? Is it a result of XBMC merging the library and files modes (an annoying 'feature' which I was much happier without). Is there any way to fix / alter the link so that it defaults to the top level file list?

I actually solved this problem myself in the end.
I had to edit the home.xml file of the skin, and add a path to the link:

ActivateWindow(VideoFiles, /volumes/drive/path )

All working the way I like it now

System settings, Skin, Home window and enable the setting "Videos button always goes to video files".
