Know it's still somewhat early, but it would be great to have an app for viewing the 2012 London Olympics.

It looks like NBC Sports will have a desktop app, and from the looks of it, it will work by authenticating TV subscribers... perhaps in the same way as the ESPN3 app.

Just wanted to get this on folks' radar screens, as I'm sure there will be tons of interest as we get closer to July...

I'm guessing Iplayer will work for those of us in the UK- not sure whether we'll get all 24 streaming channels though...

the bbc will stream most of the content. They cannot do all 24 HD channels of course as there is not enough bandwidth the sustain all that.

You could of gone to the BBC Sport Olympics site and seen the news today.

Hi,

The BBC recently released an iPhone app that allows catch up tv style content, news and on demand viewings/results PLUS up to 24 live streams from its live section (when the Olympics start)!

Is it possible to tap into the api for this or the new mobile app site and have access on our xbmc players?

http://www.pcadvisor.co.uk/reviews/googl...cs-review/

I just downloaded the app to my iPhone and it's a web style app which does confirm in the description that up to 24 live streams will be available when the Olympics goes live.

Hopefully this may be useful to some magicians out there Smile

Auntie have decided to use a Facebook app to stream the 24 video streams....

To make matters (much) worse, they are also using Adobe HDS "live" streaming for which there is no current native support in XBMC.

Now, I do have a working solution using the Adobe OSMF player and Opera loaded on XBMC, but frankly, it's pants.

I also have a php script that can read the embedded HDS streams (copied from KSV at stream-recorder) and I have played that live through XBMC's dvdplayer.

I'm in the process of taking the elements of the HDS php script that I need, converting to python and building an app.

This all takes time, so bear with me - I'm currently traveling the world for work....
