Mythtv Setup question

regarding the mythtv backend setup I am wondering if what I have done is correct.

I have a dvbs and a dvbt2 card on which some of the channels are duplicated. Using mythweb I gave the identical channels the same number so have 1,1 2,2 3,3 etc and have made one of the duplicate channels invisible but I am wondering if making it invisible (in the myth backend) actually disables the channel?

Should I make the duplicate channels visible on the backend?

IIRC you must set the same name & number to identical channel.
