Can someone clarify TrueHD/DTS Master Audio Support for me?
#1
I'm starting to rip my Blurays with DVDFab and Handbrake, and the latest version of Handbrake now supports DTS HD. But when I look up stuff about these HD Audio formats. The options and support for the "icons" are there, but then I read stuff like this which suggests support for this audio is experimental in nightly builds right now...?

I'm just confused and wondering if I can actually rip my movies in these formats or if I need to "downgrade" and convert the audio into regular AC3/DTS for proper playback.

You can rip them with HD audio and they will work in both the stable version and nightly version, but the stable version will convert the audio to a non HD audio format.

If you want to use the HD audio right away, you have the option of using a nightly build.
