hi to all,

installed xbmc today on a netbook (sony) running win7 (32 bit).
used the acer laptop as "server".

all works fine , xbmc finds the files (mp3, film and photo) and plays it.
even works great on tv.

i did read somewhere on the www that you can use the pc with xbmc installed as speakers for another pc /laptop in the network.
when all is correctly installed the xbmc-pc (sony netbook) would be an option on the acer to choose for standard audio output.

sadly , it seems i'm not able to find out how to make the correct settings for it.

any hint or tip would be welcome.

Are you referring to DLNA feature? In windows 7, you can select any video or audio file in your acer laptop and use the option 'Play To' > your sony xbmc system.
