Win Questions about dedicated HTPC
#1
Right now I'm using my main PC for XBMC, so that means a loooong HDMI cable and of course I can't use the PC when XBMC is on my secondary display (Plasma).
So I want to get a dedicated HTPC for the living room but I have questions.

I have a few HDDs with movies and TV shows on them. How will I access them in the living room? Is an ethernet cable connected from my main PC to my HTPC be enough?

If I buy a SDD drive, I just have to get a wireless keyboard and I would be able to install Win 7 from there and then XBMC?

Anything else I should know before I take the plunge?

Thanks!

preferably you access them over the network, install a switch between or a twisted pair ethernet cable if you dont use a switch.
take a look in below thread for a great way to prepare windows for Xbmc
