Hi

I have a ATV2 running 5.0.2 (4250) and its been jailbreak with Seas0nPass.

I have tryed to install XBMC several times and it looks like its being installede but after reboot there is no XBMC in the menu..

Anyone who know whats the problem or maybe a guide to remove and start over with the installation om XBMC

In advanced thanks

What method are you using to install XBMC? NitoTV from the ATV2, NitoTV from the desktop, or SSH?

apt-get install wget
wget -O- http://apt.awkwardtv.org/awkwardtv.pub | apt-key add -
echo "deb http://apt.awkwardtv.org/ stable main" > /etc/apt/sources.list.d/awkwardtv.list
echo "deb http://mirrors.xbmc.org/apt/atv2 ./" > /etc/apt/sources.list.d/xbmc.list

Can you cut and paste the full session to pastebin.com and link it to here? as in, what putty says as you are entering commands, etc.

Can't install the latest monthly from http://mirrors.xbmc.org/snapshots/darwin...os-arm.deb

Is that a bona fide ATV2 build? File size is much bigger than before...
Installation (via dpkg -i) aborts due to an unresolved dependency with xbmc-iconpack.
However, there's no way to install the iconpack with apt-get or wget.

Running XBMC on iOS 5.0.2, with no installation errors so far. Even nightlies from mid-july used to install fine...

Could it be that the iOS / ATV2 builds got mixed up?

Looking forward to Frodo, thanks for all the good work!

Unrelated to this thread, but yeah, the last snapshot/monthly build got mixed with the iDevice copy. Should be corrected in the next day or two.

Nothing obvious. You might just need to try rejailbreaking and then trying to install again.

Try to remove xbmc package (with apt-get), then make sure /Applications/AppleTV.app/Appliances folder exists and install xbmc package again, that's something that helped me with similar issue.
