assuming the distro is also using my xbmc build as well as the rest of the base stuff, the xbmc source is on the joggler ppa - https://launchpad.net/~jools/+archive/joggler

the only real specific patch against the eden code, excluding a couple of deb package build changes is - http://joggler.exotica.org.uk/source/xbm...gler.patch which makes an invisible sdl cursor so the touchscreen works. ive not tested recently if this is still needed.

sources for ubuntu base image for the joggler that this is built off are on my ppa, kernel patches are here http://joggler.exotica.org.uk/source/kernel/ - I can provide full kernel source tree with the patches applied on request.

cheers

just to clarify, the vaapi support is only "ok". h264 is mostly ok, but on xbmc 720p is about the max. mplayer with the vaapi patches can do 1080p ok. other formats can crash or not decode properly with vaapi on.

with the last emgd driver update I think vaapi stuff actually got worse :/

This is fantastic. I got this installed and up and running last night. New life to my old Joggler. Big Grin Many thanks!!!

Is there any way this image can be installed on to the Joggler its self to over write the stock OS?

worth noting xbmc has been working on the joggler for sometime (under ubuntu/xubuntu etc) - you can keep up to date on joggler developments over at http://www.jogglerwiki.com/forum/

I wouldn't recommend using the internal flash. it's not very hard wearing, and if that goes, you might end up with a brick. Much better to wear out some cheap usb sticks instead.

Thanks.

There is still bug with network manager. Use wired connection first and then set the wireless. After that it will work.

Just installed on my joggler =)

However I have 2 issues:
1) wireless doesn't seem to connect. It says it's connected and everything, I just can't do anything. I.e. YouTube
** update ** wireless working thanks to above post =)
2) can I use an external hard drive with it? Of so, how? I can't seem to get it to work.
