Ok so i have searched for a while to get my thumbnails to show up, everywhere i see that showing them in file view is hard or not possible.
But where do i go beside file view then?

When i (my daughter) wanna watch movies i go to:

Videos - Movies - Files - Barnfilmer

Where in Barnfilmer mapp i wont find thumbnails nor inside of the mapps there where the movies and pictures are stored.

I know i can add but its only in "Files" not deeper into another mapp.

And second questions thats less important but still is how to get rid of the "box" thats surrounding the thumbnails, taking up more space then needed.

Most of your questions can be answered with a bit more familiarity with XBMC, a lot of your questions require information, such as the system you're using and the versions of software, program and skin. That's why we recommend you include a debug pastebin linked to the message. Here's a link regarding that issue. http://forum.xbmc.org/showthread.php?tid=42708 and seeing that you're a relatively new user to XBMC and these forums, It is important to understand that most of the features artwork etc... are all handled through external scrapings and stored in the library... Although playing directly in file mode is possible and a convenience it will not have the advantage of the library scrape which gets the artwork and metadata. So most of your issues will be solved when you have your library set-up.

Getting rid of the 'box' around thumbnails, is usually a product of the 'view' of that skin, which is a changeable left slide-out menu in movie or video mode or more permanently within the skin settings.
