Maybe I found the problem. You have mouse enabled, thats why it's hard to spot because I don't use it. Could you try to unpack the 1080i folder to your skin.aeon.nox folder overwriting the old files from this zip? After that a restart of XBMC is needed.

I too have the mouse enabled. It was still crashing after disabling the next aired addon.

I will try disabling the mouse as you suggested.

Thanks

Same here, next aired disabled (no mouse support) on a Asrock iON 330 with OE 2.0. I've updated the defaults.xml, but still a crash on every context menu...

Got the same issue, started on Aeon 3.6 still happening in 3.6.1. No problems with Confluence at all.
Using OE 2.0 i386 with PVR on ION hardware.
Log saved when I tried update some TV show info and skin crashed.

Anyone having problems with files stuttering during playback? Both music and video files seem to do this now

Hi,
Having an issue where it is crashing on "Add Videos..."
openelec 2.0... aeon nox 3.6.1
log:

I had quite some crashes before with 3.6.1 but after disabling next aired and watchlist add-ons (and also mouse disabled as mentioned here, but not sure if this makes any difference) I have not experienced any crashes anymore (apart from one that was SpotyXBMC related).

(Running OpenELEC-Fusion.x86_64-2.0.0 XBMC Eden)

I just love this skin and it's (user) configurability. great work!

I still have frequent freezes too with Aeon Nox.

I use XBMC for 3 1/2 years now and since then almost always Aeon65, Aeon MQ2, 3 and 4, but 'm not so satisfied with MQ4, so I tried it out Aeon Nox and I like it very well! Smile
(Why had I just never tried it before ...)

In the last 3 1/2 years I had no crashes with the other skins, the use of XBMC has always been very stable.
I hate to say it, but the freezing only happens with Nox.

It happens sometimes for example when opening a directory or a menu.
Not always, and not always in the same places,
The cursor then turns endlessly and that's it.

I use Win7 X64 with XBMC Eden and Aeon Nox 3.6.1 on an Acer Reco 3610 (Atom 330 / ION / 3GB).
I too disabled next aired addon and I also disabled mouse as mentioned here.
I also updated the 1080i folder with the ZIP from Post #70 from Big_Noid (adding the coordinate origin (0,0)).

A friend just startetd with XBMC and has also tried Nox and he has also occasional crashes.

In my view, the skin must be there somewhere buggy and I hope the reason is still found some time.

I still saved no log, because it has not led to any solution.

Hello I am also experiencing the freezing issue with aeon nox and openelec 2.0
I rolled back to 3.5 and it seems to work fine.

I can replicate the issue when I try to open the context menu.
Other skins don't cause this issue.

I have 2 setups

Ion 64 bit on my atom reboot 3600
Fusion 64 bit

Attached are the logs:

I also have this problem, using openelec 2.0 64bit on an ION based system. I already disabled the Next Aired addon. Anyone a solution?

Just thought I'd mention this to maybe narrow down the freezing issue. Are most of you using a remote? I'm using an HP MCE remote and I've noticed that the freezes are caused by the USB receiver locking up. If you are using a remote, the next time you get a lock up try unplugging the USB receiver and plugging it back in. All of my freezes have been "resolved" by doing that. Of course, it's not optimal but it might be a better way to narrow down the problem. I only have lock up issues with Nox 3.6 and beyond. Mainly using Openelec 2.0 but also using Openelec nightlies. Hopefully we can figure this out, Nox is the best skin out there! I'll try and get some log files to document this as well.

Yes, I use a USBUIRT IR Transmitter with Eventghost to control XBMC.

Perhaps this now the important note for the developers to isolate the problem better.

I'm having the same issues with freezing too using openelec 2.0 Fusionx86_64 build on a Zotac ZBOX-AD02. I programmed my tv remote with FLIRC, but also experienced the same issues with a usb keyboard (none wireless). For the moment i switched back to the default skin and no issues with freezing on it.
#88
Maybe both of you try unplugging the USB next time and plugging back in to see if this fixes the freeze? I really think it has something to do with a USB setting caused by a control in the skin (remote xml?).

i'm having the same issue, but i'm using the xbmc android remote control, so it's not usb. 64-bit ION (acer revo 3700) under openelec's current version (2.0) after a completely clean install. issue only present on this skin - context menu fails and system locks up, although i can stilll ssh onto the system and restart the gui from there. disabled the mouse and the next aired add-on, but still crashes. nothing different in the logs to anything that's been posted on here, so i've not bothered to post any logs up. the end of the logfile doesn't mention the context menu at all, and the last line is a timeout from the android xbmc remote's ip address.

I'm using Openelec 2.0 (64bit) on a 2GB Asrock ION 3D http://www.asrock.com/nettop/overview.as...D%20Series with a SSD HD, which has a build in IR receiver with a Harmony 900 Remote.
Mouse and Next Aired is disabled. If I enable Next Aired, it will freeze more frequently.
If the system is freezed, I can also still access it through SSH. Other skins don't freeze.

An other thing I noticed, After I do a fresh startup, the system will also freeze for about 10 to 20 seconds, some time after startup, but it will continue. I do not have this problem with other skins.
