I've noticed that the language selection for external files doesn't seem to work - but that's probably because I don't know the mechanism it uses to determine the language. If it uses the codepage, bad luck for me, since I format all subtitles as utf-8.
I'd like to suggest that the selection take into account the 2-letter ISO countrycode present in the title of the subtitle file. Example:
title.en.srt -> English
title.de.srt -> German
title.ja.srt -> Japanese
As far as I know, that's a pretty established way to save several local external subs, and the XBMC subtitle downloader already adds langauage extensions. Thanks!
