I have a major issue with xbmc. I dunno if I am retarded or else but I am unable to find the upnp menu...

upnp is a source.. go to video (or music) and add a source to discover upnp..

ok i ve added a source and still no sign of an upnp menu

but in the settings menu, in network, there is no upnp menu...

Which XBMC version are you running? If it's Eden (11.x), then look in System/Settings > Network > Services to locate the options for UPnP. Then, again, maybe you need to explain what exactly you mean by the term "upnp menu".
Also, what exactly are you trying to do with UPnP? Are you trying to have your XBMC system access a UPnP share located on another system? If so, do what Robotica said. Or are you trying to setup your XBMC system to share its local media with other systems via UPnP? If so, then select the UPnP options on the Services or Network menu (depending on XBMC version).

That's it. That's all you need to do to enable that XBMC system to share its library contents via UPnP.

but my tv box does not recognize the upnp server...
