I'm looking for a media remote which allows me to control XBMC and other video players,

Budget is £20

VRC-1100, search on Amazon for it.
Works pretty well out of the box & less than £15.

Agreed! I have one of these for my main HTPC setup and another Rosewill windows Media remote in my bedroom and the VRC-1100 is by far the better option and it worked right out of the box, I didn't have to do anything.

Only thing I've done is map the 'i' button to info with a mouse.xml.
And I really didn't want the mouse pad that's on it but it's turned out to be really handy!
Should probably buy more before they're discontinued!
