Really not happy with my 4+ year old ASUS motherboard with HDMI. What is everyone else doing for video with sound? I want to pass everything via HDMI and my current setup seems to not fully work via HDMI so was thinking an HDMI video card with dedicated sound card might be the best way to solve this. Or a newer motherboard, but that's a bigger deal requiring a new CPU etc, which is more investment.

What is your setup for wanting a SOLID HDMI experience on the PC with all audio going via HDMI? What setups work best with Frodo?

What is your current motherboard? What is it not doing for you?

As far as what works... pretty much everything modern with HDMI... which is a lot of hardware. What are your OS and usage requirements?

Installing a GPU like GT520 or GT440 will support audio through HDMI and it will help in playback of HD videos so that you don't need to upgrade to a new PC.
