Hey guys,

I don't have a problem but more of a question on how the PVR feature would be used?

I live in Canada and with the exception of the soon to be chopped analog cable i dont see how i could get a source for channels to use the PVR for?

Satellite, last i read has no form of emulation of computer based decoding possible?
Cable, the local cable company does not register any digital decoders outside of their proprietary boxes?
FTA, this is about the only use i can think of?

I know different parts of the world have very different options than me, i just want to make sure i have my facts right and am not missing some great option.

Depending on where live, you could actually get a good choice in OTA ATSC, and it is better quality than cable. A good source of reception info is on the digitalhome forums http://www.digitalhome.ca/forum/forumdisplay.php?f=129 You can capture from an STB using component and spdif with the Hauppauge HD-PVR as long as the analog hole is around.
