i enabled dolby digital live in my creatve audigy card in desktop and my reciever lights up the dolby digital light now . So Im wonder if i can get 5.1 through xbmc now when I select how many channels I want and pick my spdif/optical setting in xbmc i hear sound in all my speakers does this mean Im getting 5.1 and I am using dolby digital movies A nightmare for christmas and Frankenweenie both in 5.1 dolby digital . If i set xbmc to do the decoding will i get 5.1 through my speakers all my lights for all my speakers are there when i select dolby digital live in my sound card settings . But if I select ac3 in xbmc i get no sound but when i select dolby digital live in my audigy I get all my lights for DD 5.1 THIS IS before starting xbmc and playing any files with xbmc i setup my sound card to do 5.1 .
