#1
Hi folks,

using xbmc running on openelec in my sitting room.

I would like to control the xbmc system from my working room with my Linux PC.
The webinterface is very basic since the control is very limited...

any better functionalities?

thanks, c.f.

Install another webinterface, use android/ios remote. Version 13.0 allows control through upnp

Install the AWXi web interface add-on and switch to that via your XBMC Network settings.

I use gupnp-av-cp for control via upnp and some keybindings with xbmc-send at my linux desktop e. g.
/usr/bin/xbmc-send --host $XBMC -a "UpdateLibrary(video)"
/usr/bin/xbmc-send --host $XBMC -a "Play"
and others http://wiki.xbmc.org/index.php?title=Lis..._functions

If your XBMC installation works with X11 server you can try http://synergy-foss.org/

But for me the android remote is the best solution.
