IOS 6.1 jailbroken

Your Debug Log is unusable (turn on system->system->debugging) - i also need a crashreporter log for each crashing issue. Damn guys - read the big fat sticky thread on the top which says how to post a bug correctly...

now a log from rickwookie who stated hw decode doesn't work for him...

Sorry Memphiz, I was being sarcastic in my previous post! I do have my iPad mini on iOS 6.1 (since it came with 6!) and my iPhone 4S is now on iOS6.1 thanks to evasi0n, but I checked here BEFORE updating my iPad 2, which is what I run XBMC on. So that's still actually on iOS 5.1.1.

Are we thinking HW decoding is actually working after all? My wife will kill me if I update the iPad 2 and bork her XBMC!

Don't know what you want to tell me? Just look at all these posts - they all claim that hw decoding is working fine on ios6.1 - so whats your point again with ios5.1?

You are experiencing the same crash like those to guys over here:

Please continue discussion there and post the mediainfo of that mkv file you try to play over there (google for the mediainfo tool and post the text output to pastebin and put the link in the mentioned thread).

Having stuttering issues on some of my blu ray rip when streaming on my Ipad 4 (6.1) Looks like all the movies that are having this issue are all Codec: VC-1. These are full 1:1 rip. I have no issues with other codec just VC-1. Anyone else?

Vc1 is not Supported by the hw Decoder - its expected that those won't work nicely when Software Decoded...

So did anyone confirm HW-accelerated decoding of h.264 works on the iPad 2 on iOS 6.1 now too? I'm trying to figure out if I should jailbreak my brother's iPad 2 so that he can watch movies without remuxing/converting them. I assume DTS decoding is still available courtesy of ffmpeg.

So I am a bit confused. I see some mentions that hw decodimg is working in 6.1. Is that in the released 12 frodo or does that require a nightly? I have tried frodo final on both my ipad 2 and ipad 4 and playback seems a but choppy. Worse so than my atv2 with a crystal decoder.

I am streaming all of my content over wifi (5ghz) Nfs mounted - I guess I could copy something locally to test network issues although I can't imagine that's an issue.

Is there a simple way to verify that decoding is working or do I need to gather a debug log? What do I look for if I do pull a log?

Thanks,

It runs and plays content just seems to drop some frames. It's tolerable...just not perfect. I guess I must have really misunderstood the thee posts in this thread.
