XBMC not playing videos at speed
#1
Added a laptop to my other 2 computer running XBMC ... but on the laptop it's not working correctly. Have only a single title in the library (as a test), but in playing it the speed is about 10x too slow - almost a frame at a time. Fast Fwd DOES work, but normal play does not.

Playing the same title on WMP works fine. XBMC on the other 2 cmptrs is great.

With XBMC launched but not playing a video all seems fine, but as soon as the video is launched the cursor movement becomes very sluggish. BUT - CHECKING DEVICE MANAGER WHILE THE VIDEO IS PLAYING SHOWS CPU USAGE AT ONLY 5% TO 10%, AND PHYSICAL MEMORY AT ONLY 40%.

Computer: HP laptop dual core intel, 2 gig, ATI video card
Win7

Any thoughts?

You might want to check audio settings in XBMC. If you are connecting it to AVR, you want to select WASAPI for bitstreaming and select the capable receiver options. If you are connecting it directly to a monitor or HDTV, you want to select DirectSound and un-check on the capable receiver options......

>HOW-TO Bitstreaming using XBMC
I refused to watch movie without bitstreaming HD audio!
