AFP vs SMB on XBMC
#1
Hi all,

I have xbmc v12 running on Apple TV 2 running IOS 6.1.

I have a NAS and also a apple time capsule with different media on both.

I have setup the Time capsule using SMB rather than AFP because I read that AFP does not work too well on xbmc. Just wondering if this is still the case with xbmc 12 frodo?

Connection seems fine using smb but I had had a few connection drops so I thought using AFP might help. Any thoughts appreciated.

From what I understand the AFP client in XBMC will possibly get fixed in Gotham 13.0. Another one to try is NFS.
