When XBMC is not windowed, there is an extra blank window that shows in all spaces, this was not like this in Eden.
I'm using current git. Does anybody else have this or is it my system.

10.6.8
when xbmc is windowed, that window appears behind xbmc main window (i think) because when i click the x to close xbmc, that window displays for an instant.

I can't repro un 10.6.8 using 4 spaces ... there is no such window visible on my rig.

Your filesystem is case sensitive? Are you sure? (so you have HFS+ incl. case sensitivity? - this cries for problems).

Hey, I am seeing this as well. I thought when it first happened that it xbmc had not quit properly but the photo exactly resembles what I have seen a few times. I have xbmc set as a fullscreen app using an app called Total Spaces but that may have not have any relevance.
Running 12.0 on 10.8.3. Can't really provide any specific circumstances on when it happens other than it has been quite frequent. I'll post up a log when I next see it.

So do you not support OS X on a case sensitive file system? I'm surprised no developers have this setup.
The not finding the path to addon's is weird since it installs the metadata addons and starts to update them the first time xbmc is run. It appears to freeze. Then when I manually check for updates I get that message.
Activate do you run on a case sensitive file system?

I don't see what this would have to do with case sensitive file systems.

I am not on a case sensitive system, standard Journaled HFS+. and can't pin point anything out of the ordinary in my setup. To elaborate on my experience, an addon stream would suddenly start running several hours after having stopped and quitting xbmc. Because this has been late at night, I have simply used the remote to stop it and not turned on the monitor which is the tv to see how this has occurred. I'm only assuming now that this is from the multiple (second) version of the xbmc app running.
