Recently I've started playing music from XBMC with my TV turned off. Every 10-15 minutes, the sound will go silent. When it happens, the web interface shows the playhead still moving, and the sound comes back if I press pause, then play. The ubuntu box is plugged into my receiver with HDMI. Any idea what's causing this?

Anyone else notice this or know how to fix it?
The problem goes away if I leave the TV powered on. The problem also goes away if I use the computer's analog output instead of HDMI.

Check your powermanagement settings in xbmc, especially "turn off monitor" after ...
First decide what functions / features you expect from a system. Then decide for the hardware. Don't waste your money on crap.
