I sometimes get the option but often it won't swap to this option and I am stuck with mirroring when I want it to output 1080p to my tv over the hdmi cable anyone know what I need to do to make it work all the time? Ipad 3 latest build

If you just see mirroring then exit out of XBMC, make sure it's totally quit by removing it from the iOS task switcher (when you double press the home button), then make sure the HDMI cable is in before XBMC starts up.
