There is an open spot where the logo once was and it still says XBMC, but when I select it XBMC opens briefly and then crashes. I have reinstalled using Nito Tv.

Any ideas?

I can not get XBMC to open so this is what I was able to get through SSH File Transfer

looks like something went wrong with installation ... remove the app and install again

since you are familiar with SSH use http://wiki.xbmc.org/index.php?title=HOW...Apple_TV_2 for how-to and not Nito menu, no reason for it.

Uninstalled, but now XBMC will not reinstall using above tip. I've had this ATV2 jail broken for about a year with no issues at all. I'm stumped.
