currently there is no support for this (episode/season info). so it's a little bit more work to add it Wink

+ not all backends/providers support it, so it has to be conditional in skins

Hope someone who uses Tvheadeand (tvh supports episode/season) as backend is willing to work on it, cause it´s hard to use xbmc to record series without that info.

I'm using tvheadend .. but i can't use the season recording feature because the epg did not hold this information. do you use an xml epg service?

Yes i use http://se.timefor.tv , they have xmltv epg for 2000 european channels for a low cost.

Is it possible to make mce record button to set timers/ start direct recording on epg program in timeline view ?
As a quick way to record shows with only one click. Works in live tv full screen.

I have an MCE remote too, but I never use the "record" button as last time (a few months ago) when I used it while watching a channel it seemed to set an long recording and not just record the currently running program.

Has this changed recently?

But seconded, it would be really nice if there was some way to set a "one click recording" from the EPG via the record button on the remote.

So nice to see the PVR section of XBMC getting some much needed love. it makes the thing some much more usable.

Don't know when it changed but it records the on-going show
