Re-adding stuff to library
#1
Hi everybody...
I have a general question concerning the video library and its method of removing and re-adding content.

Example:
I remove a complete series from the video-db in order to re-add it afterwards. The goal is to get some inconsistencies with artwork cleared up (corrupted artwork etc.). So when i remove the series from the db, it obviously is "deleted". Then i clean the library and restart the system.
I think this course of action should really remove the relevant entries from the db. But when re-adding the same files (located on my NAS via SMB), all the meta data from the previously registered files is back in the library (even the "watched" tags are restored").
So my question is, do the deleted entries remain in the db and are simply reactivated by re-adding the same files?

I am on xbmcbuntu-12.2.Intel-NVIDIA, on a giada CubeN3.
