I read the wiki: http://wiki.xbmc.org/index.php?title=Music_playback and it says - "XBMC will default to staying in the main GUI."

My question is - is there a way to force XBMC to switch to visualization screen on music playback? I don't know if it's possible to do by modifying the skin.
The only way I see is to use the even server, have a client connected and once it detects the playback send the 'tab' button click which will put the xbmc into the visualization mode. But it's a bit tricky and I don't really like this approach.

Is there a way to make my life easier?

because I have a fan art set instead of the visualization and I really love my xbmc setup!!!

In my search I found that someone did do a patch a long way back for Dharma but didn't follow the correct procedure for submitting it so it was probably lost amongst all the other trac tickets, see http://forum.xbmc.org/showthread.php?tid=68293 & http://trac.xbmc.org/ticket/8545

It would take someone who knows how to code to see if they can bring that patch back to life on the current master code on github and submit a PR.
