Hey guys!

Someone suggested using this to play my universal media server server video files on another pc.

I can browse to the folders containing the files and add them for xbmc, but when I select files and try to play any, none show up at all. Universal media server also does not show xbmc as one of the devices it sees for a playback stream.

Is there something I;m missing on setup, or a specific thread with tips on using this with UMS?

I would think you should be able add the server as an upnp device.
Did you do that?

Yes, but no video files showed up. It turned out I had something running in the background that was very processor intense, and once I rebooted, things worked properly.

The only issue now is the TV's pc is only got a 2ghz wireless connect to my network, so 720p or greater can back up while streaming, so I'll have to look into getting at least the 5ghz network connection working on it.
