Nightlies: Add-on is incompatible due to unmet dependencies POPUPS
#1
I get constant popups for nearly every addon in the book over and over and over and over again using nightlies. Is there a way to make it stop asking if I want to disable? I'd like to test nightlies but not if I have to do that seemingly every hour for about ten minutes straight. Thanks in advance!

Seems not, all of the addon makers are going to have to update to be compatible with the new system. I reverted back to alpha 9 because of this. The constant pop ups were driving me mad.

Do you really get constant updates? The code is such that you should not get more than one per add-on.

If you are getting more than one per add-on, I want the Debug Log to prove it.

And yes, the reason for the incompatibility is because the add-ons are incompatible - usually it's because they've specified that they require an older version of the python API than they actually need. i.e. it's a trivial fix for the add-on authors.

The reason it happens after alpha 9 is because xbmc.python was bumped after alpha 9 (Nov 2).
Always read the XBMC online-manual, FAQ and search the forum before posting.
Do not e-mail XBMC-Team members directly asking for support. Read/follow the forum rules.

Hi there, I have the same issue. Is not constant updatates on a 'single' addon. Is constant updates (single update per addon) on multiple addons. This happens upon:
- XBMC opening
- Some time after a long playback (after a movie ends for example)

Multiple addon examples triggering this message:
- YouTube videos
- LiveEU
- Cinema Experience
- All-in-one
- XBMC Subtitles
... and a few more

I have the same issue. Every time I open XBMC I get messages about the same add-ons being incompatible.

I'm on Windows 7; latest nightlies.

1) Use the release version of Frodo 12.2

2) Uninstall the addons until they are updated to be compatible. Either by the original author, a new author or a new addon with similar functionality.

3) Use an Alpha from before November 2nd.

4) Fix the dependency requirements in the addons to remove the errors.

I've pretty much been following option #2 above.

Or do what the developer has asked and provide a debug log file so they can fix it....

Attached is the XBMC debug log for the machine that is experiencing this issue. currently I get around 20+ popups every time that the library is scanned.

7.96 MB, holy smokes. I think the Trakt add-on is going crazy in your log. That might not be related to the actual problem, but try to disable the Trakt add-on and generate another debug log. It will at least clear up the log.

Yeah I use Trakt to keep XBMC and Plex synced up, attached are two logs with Trakt disabled.
