I just did the untethered 5.3 jailbreak as well. Just tested some 1080p media with XBMC and it seems to be comparable to my older 4.4.4 ATV installation. However, XBMC crashed a couple of times during scanning of thumbnails.

atv2 5.3 seems to work the same like 5.2 ... have it running for a couple of hours now watching livetv without differences/issues. (normal ... its ios 6.1 vs. 6.1.4 - so no big difference)

Agree. I restored with iFaith and installed untether. Working good so far.

Yup looks like the lag that came from IH8SNOW's untethered is no longer there in seas0npass's untethered... Did a fresh 5.3 untethered jailbreak from seas0npass and installed XBMC and everything seems to be working great again.
