I'm using openelec and would like to put the screen in portrait orientation. Does anyone know how to do this?

There's a Raspberry forum http://forum.xbmc.org/forumdisplay.php?fid=166 which might have more info then this General Discussion area.

Of hand I would say the only way this could be accomplished is with your display hardware drivers.

There's an option in config.txt for screen rotation ("display_rotate") that might work here: http://elinux.org/RPiconfig#Video

Also, check this out: http://elinux.org/RPi_Projects/Digital_S...ate_Screen

I have another RPi running in portrait mode and that works just fine. I'm using the option in config.txt, but on openelec I can not find a config.txt. I thought maybe I could rebuild the source with this option set by default, but there's a bit of a learning curve with that solution as well.

Just create config.txt in the FAT partition on OpenELEC.
