I have the Galaxy Note 10.1 2014. I use a combination of SPMC, because I've found that the add ons I like work better on it, and one of the XBMC nightlies, because they are nearing perfection and handle almost any file format I use.

I tried using it on my first GEN ASUS Transformer and first GEN Galaxy Note...Both cases the results were SSSSSSLLLLLLOOOOOWWWW...I don't know if it was because the strength of my wifi. I now use a third party remote (this is not to take away from the official, as it is AWESOME) and I can "cast" anything to and from my HDTV/Tablet/Smartphone...

What file are you trying to install? Try SPMC and an android arm nightly. if you are getting an error after trying those then I am NOT the right person to help with your problem and I apologize.

Not sure what you are talking about. The OP is talking about the xbmc software, not a remote. I'm not sure what you are saying is slow.
