When using the Confluence Skin on an Android touch screen, I find it difficult to control/select from the slider menu.
Is there an alternative technique to move (precisely) left/right/up/down/select other than poking around with with my grubby finger?

I had similar problems on my son's Nexus 7 that I set up for him.
In the end I moved over to the re-touched skin, which is designed from the ground up for tablets. Why not try it yourself. I suspect you'll be pleasantly surprised.

Re-touched works very well on touch devices, especially to fast change from list to tiles with one button. However not all functions are accessible. The new Gotham beta 2 has for the settings different modes like Basic, Standard and Expert and you cannot change it from the Re-touched skin (at least I have not found out how). So sometimes you have to switch back to Confluence to make those changes.

You can only change settings from basic, standard, , advanced or expert for all xbmc versions with the default skin confluence since Frodo and like elusien I've not found another skin that does this.
Re-touched is the skin I use on all my android tabs apart from 1 as I like the new black glass nova skin, its not been out long and could end up as 1 of the best for touchscreen devices.

Re-touched can change the settings level from the gear icon in the top-right corner. However, it is lacking PVR windows/functions.
